Shruti is a Research Engineer with UL’s Fire Safety Research Institute (FSRI) and joined the team in September 2022 as a Post-Doctoral Researcher. She holds a PhD and an MS in mechanical engineering from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a BTech in aerospace engineering from SRM Institute of Science and Technology. Her graduate research focused on developing Infrared Laser Absorption Spectroscopy based measurement systems and deploying them in residential fire environments to quantify and study time-resolved concentrations of combustion species such as water vapor and hydrogen cyanide.
