Ryan Chaffer
Research Engineer
Ryan Chaffer is a Research Engineer with UL’s Fire Safety Research Institute (FSRI). Originally, Ryan joined as a research intern before completing his Master of Science is in fire protection engineering from the University of Maryland in 2021. He also holds a Bachelor's of Science from the University of Maryland in fire protection engineering. While working on his master’s degree, Ryan focused on the redesign, construction, and characterization of the Fire Propagation Apparatus with the intent of improving manufacturability, maintainability, and user operations.
