Advisory Board

The Advisory Board provides high-level guidance and advice to inform the activities of the Fire Safety Research Institute (FSRI), part of UL Research Institutes. Acting as a sounding board for FSRI leadership and through its own initiative, the FSRI Advisory Board helps maximize the relevance of FRSI research and amplification endeavors by facilitating engagement with a broad array of stakeholder groups. Board members propose topics relevant to FSRI’s mission of advancing fire safety knowledge and addressing the world’s unresolved fire safety risks. Their advice is taken into consideration when FSRI makes strategic and operational decisions.

Founded in 2014, the Advisory Board is made up of qualified and passionate professionals who represent the fire service, academia, government, NGOs, industry, and fire and life safety education community. Each member serves a renewable two-year term, for up to a maximum of 10 years of service. The Advisory Board convenes a minimum of twice a year to provide feedback on data and content presented to them by FSRI.
